Red River Pork Ribs


Ingredients

Red River Rub

Pork Ribs – Spare or Baby Back

Mustard

Orange Juice


Preparation:
  1. Lay the rack of ribs out on the counter.
  2. Coat both sides of the rack with yellow mustard.
  3. Apply a very liberal amount of Red River Rub to both sides of the rack.

 

Oven:

  1. Place the rack bone side down into a 1-1 ½ inch deep pan
  2. Pour 1 cup of orange juice into the pan
  3. Cover with aluminum foil or another type of lid
  4. Preheat the oven to 245 degrees

 

Grill:

  1. Wrap the rack, bone side down, in aluminum foil and seal except for one small opening.
  2. Pour into the small opening ½ cup orange juice.
  3. Seal the opening in the foil.
  4. Heat the coals or wood to 235-260 degrees

 

Cooking

  1. Cook the ribs (oven or grill) for 2 ½ hours
  2. Open the pan or foil packet and spritz with one part water one part apple cider vinegar
  3. Return ribs to heat source for 1 hour
  4. Open the pan or foil packet and spritz with one part water one part apple cider vinegar
  5. Return ribs to heat source for 1 hour
  6. Open the pan or foil packet and spritz with one part water one part apple cider vinegar
  7. Remove cover and return ribs to heat source for 30 minutes

 

Serve.



Red River Beef Ribs

This recipe does not require any Red River Seasoning

Pepper

 

Preparation:

  1. Lay the rack of ribs out on the counter.
  2. Apply salt and pepper to both sides of the ribs

 

Oven:

  1. Place the rack bone side down into a 1-1 ½ inch deep pan
  2. Cover with aluminum foil or another type of lid
  3. Preheat the oven to 245 degrees

 

Grill:

  1. Wrap the rack, bone side down, in aluminum foil and seal.
  2. Seal the opening in the foil.
  3. Heat the coals or wood to 235-260 degrees

Serve, and do not ruin our beef ribs with barbeque sauce.
