Crazy Cajun Shrimp and Grits

Ingredients

Our spicy Cajun shrimp and grits recipe is our take on a homestyle classic. It is easy to prepare, and you can make the healthy version replacing the grits with riced cauliflower. These shrimp and grits (or cauliflower) are so delicious you won’t even know the difference!

1 lb shrimp

2 tsp Goodnight’s Red River Classic Cajun Seasoning

1 tsp Goodnight’s Red River Mama’s Italian Seasoning

¼ cup butter

2 minced garlic cloves

1 cup of chicken broth

2 tsp Worcestershire

Hot sauce to taste

2 tsp cornstarch

Cooked grits – real or from riced cauliflower

Preparation

Mix the Classic Cajun and Mama’s Italian seasonings together and toss with shrimp.

On the stovetop, melt butter over medium heat.

Add minced garlic and cook until lightly cooked, about one minute.

Add shrimp, broth, hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce.

Cook until shrimp just turn pink.

Remove the shrimp leaving the sauce in the skillet.

Blend cornstarch with the remaining sauce and cook until thickened. Add additional broth as necessary.

Return shrimp to pan and cook for one minute.

Serve over hot grits.
